Practical help, without the runaround
How can we help?
Find quick steps for LookYLook Plus, video mode, Smile Auto-Capture, photos, permissions, and feedback.
3.0
LookYLook Plus
Restore a purchase
- Open LookYLook and tap Settings.
- Find the LookYLook Plus section.
- Tap Restore Purchases while connected to the internet.
Use the same Apple ID that made the original purchase. Restoring does not charge you again. If Plus remains locked, restart LookYLook and try once more.
Apple handles App Store billing, invoices, refunds, and purchase history. For a refund request, use reportaproblem.apple.com.
Video selfie mode
Preview and capture with video
- Tap Video on the camera screen, then choose one of the built-in videos.
- Video mode uses the front camera and shows a small live camera preview over the video.
- All 31 videos are free to preview. Try three manual video photos free, once. After those photos, watch an available ad for five photos with all Plus features, including Smile Auto-Capture and video sequences, or buy unlimited, ad-free Plus. Only successfully saved photos consume credits.
- If a video does not start, switch back to Sound, reopen Video, and confirm that the app is active and audio is not routed to another device.
Smile Auto-Capture
Compatibility and setup
Smile Auto-Capture is a LookYLook Plus feature that uses the front camera. A TrueDepth camera is not required. A detected smile triggers three photos. If the smile continues, another burst can follow after a short pause. Apple’s native smile recognition runs on your iPhone.
- Switch to the front camera.
- Enable Smile Auto-Capture from the camera shortcut or Settings.
- Keep one face clearly visible in reasonable light and hold the camera steady for a moment.
If the switch is unavailable, confirm that Plus is unlocked, Camera access is allowed and the front camera is active. To take regularly timed photos, choose Interval in Settings and select 1, 2, 3 or 5 seconds. This turns Smile Auto-Capture off.
Camera and photos
Permissions and saved photos
- Open iOS Settings, select LookYLook (under Apps on recent iOS versions), and allow the Camera and Photos access needed for the features you use.
- Captured photos are saved in Apple Photos and, where available, the LookYLook album.
- Deleting a photo in LookYLook may also remove it from your Photos library after iOS confirmation.
